Mission Statement

“To promote our members, the community and economic development in the Greater Madison Area, resulting in a better quality of life.”

2008 Mission & Goals

TOGETHER, the Board of Directors and the Chamber staff will work to build the services and reputation of the Madison Chamber of Commerce with Chamber members and throughout the area. This will be accomplished by the following goals:

  • PROGRAMS & MARKETING GOAL:
    To increase Madison’s visibility with the lake residence by holding one new lake related event by October 1, 2008.
  • MARKETING GOAL:
    To annually update, publish and distribute the visitors guide by December 31st of each year.
  • BUILDING - MARKETING GOAL:
    To work with the LAIC on signage at the Depot and directional signage throughout the City of Madison by December 31, 2008
  • MEMBERSHIP GOAL:
    To increase the membership revenue of the Chamber by 10% over 2007, while maintaining a retention rate of 85% or greater by December 31, 2008.
  • BOARD RELATIONS GOAL:
    Improve Board attendance at Chamber events and committee meetings. The board liaison is to report monthly at the board meeting on their respective committee activities.
